Good Morning, Sept 25th 2012-Dali Lama

Good Morning

I have been trying to get my video to work for the last hour… perhaps it will work later. As of now it keeps quitting after a few sec. A test for my patients and how appropriate I am quoting the dali lama today. I posted this on my In Kara’s World facebook page yesterday.

“Hardship, in forcing us to exercise greater patience and forbearance in daily life, actually makes us stronger and more robust. From the daily experience of hardship comes a greater capacity to accept difficulties without losing our sense of inner calm. Of course, I do not advocate seeking out hardship as a way of life, but merely wish to suggest that, if you relate to it constructively, it can bring greater inner strength and fortitude.” Dali Lama

Now this is not a hardship but it is a test to keep my inner peace and not get frustrated.

It will be what it will be…

So, here are today’s quotes and a video of them may or may not appear later. :)

“A spoon cannot taste of the food it carries. Likewise, a foolish man cannot understand the wise man´s wisdom even if he associates with a sage.”
Dali Lama

“To conquer oneself is a greater victory than to conquer thousands in a battle.”
Dali Lama

“We can live without religion and meditation, but we cannot survive without human affection.”
Dali Lama

“My religion is very simple. My religion is kindness.”
Dali Lama

“Whether one believes in a religion or not, and whether one believes in rebirth or not, there isn’t anyone who doesn’t appreciate kindness and compassion.”
Dali Lama

  1. I am so fortunate that I got to meet such a wonderful soul when I was a child. I think his blessings have had a huge impact on my life.
